What is OpenUp?
OpenUp is a deep link generator and link platform built for social media traffic. OpenUp links open the native app instead of the Instagram, TikTok or Facebook in-app browser, on iPhone and Android. OpenUp opens +50 apps natively, bypasses 11 in-app browsers and falls back to the web when the app is not installed. It also creates short links, QR codes and link in bio pages, with analytics on every click. OpenUp is free to start and needs no code.
How is OpenUp different from a link shortener or a link in bio tool?
Most link tools make a link shorter or put it on a page, but the link still opens wherever the social app decides. On Instagram and TikTok, that means a browser where your visitor is logged out. OpenUp decides where each link opens, so a tap lands in the native app where people are already signed in and ready to act.
Who uses OpenUp?
OpenUp is used by media buyers and affiliates who pay for social traffic, agencies managing creator links, musicians sending fans to streaming apps, ecommerce sellers protecting mobile checkout, and creators growing on other platforms. If people tap your links inside a social app, OpenUp is built for you.
Which apps and in-app browsers does OpenUp support?
OpenUp opens +50 apps natively, including YouTube, Spotify, Amazon, Instagram, TikTok and WhatsApp. It bypasses 11 in-app browsers, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Snapchat. The full list is on the supported apps page.
What happens if someone does not have the app installed?
The OpenUp link opens the web version automatically, on iPhone and Android. Nobody reaches an error page or a dead end.
Does OpenUp keep my UTM parameters and affiliate tags?
Yes. OpenUp uses your destination URL exactly as you paste it, parameters included. Your campaign tracking and affiliate commissions stay attached to the link.
How much does OpenUp cost, and can I cancel anytime?
OpenUp is free to start. The free plan includes 5 links with 1,000 clicks per link each month, 5 QR codes and 1 link in bio page. Paid plans add more links, custom slugs, custom domains, UTM parameters and advanced analytics. There is no commitment, and you can cancel from your account whenever you want.
Can I track clicks and conversions?
Yes! Every OpenUp.to link includes analytics (clicks, app opens, devices, OS, country, referrer). UTM parameters pass through into Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager and Mixpanel.
Where do the numbers on this site come from?
Every number on this site comes from OpenUp's own aggregated product data, such as links created, clicks routed and redirect time measured on our servers. OpenUp does not publish conversion multipliers it cannot measure, and never shows data about individual customers.
